Our Renew service provides support for women who have experienced sexual assault in Manchester.
We’re proud to collaborate with Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Manchester Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) to offer the Renew service, providing additional support for women who have experienced sexual assault in Manchester.
Who is the Renew Service for?
Renew is specifically designed for women who are currently accessing or waiting to access support from Manchester SARC. If you are a woman aged 18 or above and are seeking additional support following sexual assault (historical or recent) you can access our Renew service.
What does the Renew Service offer?
Renew offers 8-12 weeks groupwork sessions (online and face to face), and a weekly drop-in. The drop-in is every Wednesday, 12-2pm, at The Pankhurst Centre. We provide a welcoming space where women of all backgrounds come together for lunch, support and companionship.

- The Sexual Violence Recovery Toolkit - Psychoeducational course
- Living Life to the Full - CBT based course.
- Peer support and an opportunity to be listened to and valued.
- Sessions focussing on positive coping strategies, wellbeing and recovery.
Drop-in
Wellbeing workshops, talks and creative activities.
- Advice clinics including Shelter, housing, family law and benefits.
- Socialising opportunities
- Women only environment
- Vegetarian lunch and dessert
SARC offers a full suite of crisis response and ongoing support
SARC offers a full suite of crisis response and ongoing practical, emotional and forensic support to anyone, child or adult, who has been raped or sexually assaulted.
SARC services aim at recovery from both the physical and emotional effects of the assault. Potential users of their service can either approach SARC directly or shall be automatically offered the Centre’s services through the Police as part of their response to sexual violence. Other agencies can also make referrals to SARC with client consent.
In support provided by Greater Manchester Combined Authority, SARC offers referrals to Renew to females over 18 years old.
